As befits a classical interior, symmetry governs everything, starting with the layout. We
divided the space into two zones: a private one, with the bedroom and its own
dressing room, the bathroom and the children's room, and a public one, with the living room and fireplace and the kitchen with an island and a large dining area in the bay window. The two are linked by a corridor, from
which the entrance hall, guest WC and laundry room open. In all, from
an original floor area of 120 m², we were able to plan ten comfortable, practical rooms.
The interior is furnished with pieces of our own design: built-in wardrobes, shelving, bathroom furniture,
console tables and a coffee table were all made to the studio's designs. Every
room has its own considered details: the living room walls, for instance, are decorated with
mouldings infilled with wallpaper that imitates gold leaf. The wall
behind the bed is faced with a mirrored panel, and the cabinet fronts in the guest WC
echo the geometry of the mosaic in the shower. Every square metre has been thought through,
and this is what gives the interior its particular character.
The main palette is built on calm, neutral tones. Accents come from
refined combinations of gold and blue, which lend the interior
elegance and a sense of occasion.
