A two-level apartment on the Ligurian coast with its own beach, for a family with three children. The apartment is partly cut into the rock. The project is in progress
Details
The apartment is on the seafront in the centre of Rapallo. The building it occupies stands on rock, which largely determined the layout and the configuration of the walls: in places the ceilings are arched, in others flat. The house was built around 100 years ago; the doorways are arched and the windows look straight out to sea. In winter, when storms blow in, some of the windows have to be closed with special shutters, as spray from the waves reaches them.
The bed for the two brothers is being made to order to our design.
One of the rooms has a fireplace, spare in line and rather unusual in form.
